The service makes it easy for users to learn about sexual health by chatting with a healthcare representative via smartphone

Anyone with a smartphone can download a dating app suited to their sexual preferences—but there are not so many apps out there designed to teach them about sexual health. A new app called Biem wants to make learning about sexual health just as easy as swiping left or right.

With Biem, a user pays $45 to speak to a certified sexual healthcare representative, who can potentially order medical tests. A user can choose to have a test at home or to visit one of the app team’s partner lab locations. These tests fall under FDA approval. Biem developers have reached out to dating app companies about working together to inform their audiences about sexual health.

Biem currently only works in the state of New York, but the company continues its push to make the app available throughout the United States.
