Voice-Activated AI Robot Personalizes Learning For Kids
Children can play learning games with an AI robot called Woogie, which curates content based on their questions and interests
Arrow Electronics, a UK-based technology company, designed an interactive learning robot named Woogie. The robot is equipped with an AI that personalizes learning for a child as they respond to jokes and riddles, answer questions, and play learning games.
Woogie’s library was curated to contain specific education and general knowledge answers for nearly any question a child could have during learning lessons. Following lessons, a parent can access a companion app to assess their child’s progress and restrict any content they feel they need to limit. Woogie does not have an LCD screen because Arrow Electronics discovered, through several studies, that children have more difficulties learning when using these screens and can’t effectively learn when they receive too much information on a topic at once.
Arrow Electronics launched a crowdfunding project for Woogie on Indiegogo.
