Volvo made a limited number of shades designed to cover the vehicle's moonroof and distributed them to dealers in the eclipse path

Owners of Volvo’s new 2018 XC60 will be able to watch today’s solar eclipse from inside the vehicle. Volvo produced a specially designed sun shade for the model’s moonroof that allows occupants to safely view the astronomical event from inside the car. The XC60 Panoramic Moonroof Eclipse Viewer adheres to the top of the car with magnets, making a large viewer ideal for a group.

Volvo made a limited number of these sun shades available for free, but distributed them only to dealers in the eclipse’s path of totality, including Oregon, Idaho, Nebraska, South Carolina and Missouri.
