Germany, home of the annual beer festival Oktoberfest, is now welcoming footwear that’s specifically designed for the rigorous and fun-filled event. Adidas has launched München: beer-repellent footwear that will keep spills and stains at bay.

The München shoes were designed with tradition and protection in mind. The sneaker sports full grain leather for the upper. The leather lining is red and white, which are the traditional colors of Oktoberfest. There is lederhosen-inspired embroidery at the back and a ‘Prost’ (German for ‘Cheers’) inscription on each side of the shoe.

Moreover, Adidas specifically made the leather with a special liquid-repellent coating. The brand wanted to ensure that the footwear is able to withstand any trials it might go through during the event. The München retails for €199.95 in Europe and for that price, you might actually leave the event with shoes that look as good as new.
