This apartment complex in Sweden makes life easier for cyclists who do not wish to own a car

An apartment complex opening in Malmö, Sweden was specifically designed for residents who use bicycles as their preferred method of transportation and do not own a car. They call it Cykelhust, which translates to bicycle house.

The establishment accommodates their life as a cyclist with wider elevators, a bike garage instead of a car parking zone, and enough room in their apartment to store a bicycle. Cykelhust was built less than a five minute bike ride away from the train station to take them to Malmö’s city center. This eliminates any need for a resident to keep a car. When a resident goes shopping, they can request to rent a cargo bicycle for their trip. The complex, which holds 55 apartments in total,  is attached to the OhBoy hotel, which operates on the bottom floor.
