"Wolverine: The Long Night" will be the first fictional podcast from Marvel in collaboration with Stitcher

Marvel continues to dominate the big screen and the TV screen, but now the company is looking to go where it’s never gone before: podcasts. Marvel is working with podcast platform Stitcher to create its first scripted podcast series, Wolverine: The Long Night. The 10-episode story begins with two agents investigating a series of murders in a small Alaskan town with everyone’s favorite clawed mutant as their main suspect. The podcast stars Richard Armitage, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Scott Adsit, Bob Balaban, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Ato Essandoh.

“We’re attempting to provide an audio experience that feels very much like if you just turned off your television screen, but left the sound on,” Dan Silver, VP and head of platforms and content for Marvel New Media, told Mashable. “It’s very dynamic, it’s very real, it’s very raw, and it’s made for what people would expect from Marvel.”
