New Beauty Brand Lets Customers Blend Their Own Skincare Products

LOLI sells organic ingredients to mix your own lotions, cleansers and masks

LOLI is a skincare startup that lets women mix, match and develop their own custom products—including cleansers, creams and face masks—catered to their individual needs and preferences. Its DIY approach, which first appeared as a subscription box in 2015, follows consumer demand for transparency, safe and natural ingredients, and targeted beauty regimens.

So it’s inevitable that a beauty brand would strike a nice balance between ensuring product quality and giving women more agency in their skin care. You select what type of product you need, select the base ingredients, add a few treatment specific elements and then blend them at home. There are also starter kits available for those who don’t feel up to the task of blending from scratch.
