IKEA Store Opening Entertained Customers With A VR Pillow Game
The home retailer is bringing virtual reality into in-store events with an experience that lets shoppers play games and explore the IKEA world
At a recent store opening in Dallas, Texas, furniture giant IKEA offered shoppers a virtual reality experience that let them check out products in more detail, learn about the brand’s design and sustainability efforts, and more.
Those who visited the store could become immersed in a virtual IKEA world by popping on a headset. To highlight some of the fun ways the brand is using this technology, shoppers were given the chance to play a pillow toss game or spend time with pandas inside a lamp.
