Nike’s New Sneakers Are Targeting Gamers With A Playstation Theme

Paul George's Nike sneakers have a color scheme that pays homage to the gaming system and an embedded code to redeem a theme for PS4

NBA player Paul George has designed his new PG2 sneakers to demonstrate his love for a particular gaming system. The collaboration between sports brand Nike and gaming console giant PlayStation has resulted in a sleek new sneaker with a PlayStation colorway. The PG2s have taken inspiration from the console’s DualShock 4 controller and its iconic symbols.

The tongues of the sneakers feature PG and PlayStation logos that light up and pulsate in the color blue. The back heel of the left shoe has a PSN voucher code embedded, which can be redeemed at the PlayStation Store for a PS4 Paul George dynamic theme. The colorway pays homage to the DualShock 4 controller’s buttons, and PlayStation symbols are embossed in patent leather on each shoe.

The PlayStation PG2 sneakers will launch worldwide on February 10 for $110. You can view them in the announcement video below:
