Convoz is Chamillionaire's new social media app that matches people up for friendly conversation

Finding community on the Internet is fairly easy, but making face-to-face connections can be more difficult. A new social media platform called Convoz aims to connect people through video to create a face-to-face virtual bond. The free app sets two people up on video chat based on their mutual interests.

Created by rapper and Upfront Ventures’s entrepreneur-in-residence Chamillionaire, the app lets people upload 15-second clips directed at other users who then decide which messages to respond to. Users must also approve what messages show up on their public feed, so nothing rude or disparaging has to be seen by others. Chamillionaire created the app because he was tired of the trolling and bullying on social platforms like Twitter that has made it harder for people to foster genuine communication and relationships online. The app is currently available on iOS.
