The streetwear-inspired collection from the LA designer includes skateboards, hoodies and other modern essentials

IKEA has unveiled the forthcoming SPÄNST collection, which is a collaboration between the homeware giant and Los Angeles-based designer Chris Stamp.

The new collection is heavily influenced by skate culture and Stamp's own minimalist aesthetic, and includes a variety of items such as shirts and hoodies, skateboards and light fixtures. As for storage, the line features clear closets, shoe boxes and containers. As Stamp noted in the collection's press release, “people want to show other people their clothes, shoes and accessories.”

The latest in a line of collaborations for Ikea, including their much-anticipated upcoming “RUGS” partnership with Virgil Abloh of high-fashion brands Off-White and Louis Vuitton, indicates not only the growing market for streetwear-savvy home goods, but also the success of IKEA's experimental collaborations and ventures away from producing only furniture.

STAMPD x IKEA is available now in Burbank, California, and will be on sale elsewhere starting May 1.
