A partnership between Comcast and Fandango introduces a convenient way to view showtimes and begin the purchase process by voice or remote

Comcast's Xfinity has joined forced with Fandango to let movie fans find showtimes and snag tickets to the newest Jurassic World film—right from the comfort of their couch. By simply speaking “Get tickets” into the X1 voice remote or pressing the “info” button during the trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, viewers can access local showtimes for the movie on their television screen and initiate the purchasing process before finalizing it on their phone with the Fandango app. A prompt will also appear on-screen during the trailer to remind viewers of the option.

In addition to the ability to purchase tickets, Comcast has created a complete On Demand destination for the Jurassic franchise that includes the previous films and exclusive content. The ticketing feature is the first initiative of its kind to come to set top boxes, but if successful, the companies hope to roll out the capability for forthcoming new releases.
