Spring Health prompts users to complete an easy-to-access questionnaire, after which they will receive personalized help in the form of tiered, algorithm-powered recommendations informed by clinical trials

The online mental health platform Spring Health aims to help people find relevant mental health treatments, prompting users to complete a questionnaire and then supplying them with a variety of recommended services tailored to their needs. Having recently collected $6 million in funds to expand its AI health service, the platform is now moving outside of New York and California to reach a broader audience.

Spring Health functions as a month-by-month subscription service that targets its services to employers. Recommendations that the platform provides range from suggested exercise and when to contact a psychiatrist to the right amount of medication for one’s personal health. Spring Health sources its information through trials and data from users, which is then put into an algorithm of existing models.

The platform was created by Yale psychiatrists and data scientists, and was inspired by a friend of a co-creator who struggled with mental health medication. Providing an easy-to-access service that uses AI to tailor recommendations for users' particular situation empowers people to take charge of their mental health and connect them with the help they need.
