Kolibri's new drinks store a natural nectar in their bottlecaps, letting consumers adjust the sweetness to their own taste

A groundbreaking new beverage, created by Kolibri Drinks and glass packaging specialists Beatson Clark, provides individuals with the ability to customize the amount of sugar they consume. Using the custom-designed bottlecap, customers simply squeeze their desired amount of nectar into the drink, and enjoy—no shaking necessary.

The bespoke product was born from growing public concern about added sugar in drinks. By allowing customers to adjust the amount of sweetener—which is a blend of apple, caramel and agave—to their taste, they're better able to personalize their overall nutrition and dietary choices.

Flavor options for the beverage include Elderflower & Lime, Cardamom & Chilli and Strawberry & Basil. While it features a functional, squeezable lid, the 300-ml cone-shaped bottle is designed for both elegant shelf appeal and sustainability, as it's made from 30-percent recyclable glass. The customizable drink is current only available in Champneys Hotels, M Restaurants and Gaucho Restaurants.
